R.J. O’Neil is looking for a dynamic and results-oriented HVAC sales professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a hunter who is passionate about generating new sales and building relationships with customers.
You will be responsible for identifying and qualifying leads, developing proposals, closing deals, and managing projects.
You will also be expected to have a strong understanding of the sales process and be able to effectively communicate with customers and team members.
Responsibilities:
- Actively prospect and generate new leads through various methods such as cold calling, networking, attending trade shows, and leveraging existing relationships.
- Establish and maintain relationships with customers, including HVAC contractors, building owners, facility managers, and architects. Understand their needs, provide product information, and offer solutions that meet their requirements.
- Develop over time a deep understanding of HVAC products and systems.
- Prepare accurate and competitive price quotes and proposals for customers based on their requirements. Collaborate with technical teams to ensure the proposed solutions align with customer needs.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions to secure sales. Overcome objections and address concerns to close deals.
- Meet or exceed sales targets and objectives set by the company. Monitor and report on sales activities, pipeline, and progress towards goals.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure a seamless transition from sales to implementation and ongoing customer satisfaction.
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and new product developments. Provide feedback to the company on market dynamics and customer preferences.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and pipeline management. Prepare regular reports on sales performance, forecasts, and market insights.
- Provide excellent customer service throughout the sales process and after-sales support. Address customer inquiries, resolve issues, and ensure customer satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- Sales experience of 2-3 years
- Must be able to effectively communicate with customers, both in person and over the phone.
- Must be able to understand the customer's needs and explain the benefits of the product or services.
- Must be able to build rapport with customers and develop relationships. Must be able to listen to the customer's needs and understand their pain points.
- Must be self-motivated and driven to succeed. Must be able to work independently and meet sales goals.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment under pressure.
- Must have experience in a goal orientated sales environment. Comfortable meeting sales goals.
- Must have project management skills to see a project from proposal to install.
- Must be comfortable and able to tour customer facilities.
