Warehouse Associate III is responsible for performing a variety of warehousing tasks, including order selection, loading and unloading freight, and quality assurance. Additionally, this role will operate warehouse equipment, maintain a safe and organized workspace, and perform yard hostler duties for approximately 20% of the workday. The ideal candidate has experience in warehouse operations and trailer movement, with a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and accuracy.
Starting Wage: $23.80 hour, DOE

Warehouse Associate III responsibilities and essential job functions include, but are not limited to the following:
Warehouse Operations (80%)
- Receive, stock, pull, and stage freight for outbound shipments.
- Load and unload inbound and outbound freight with a focus on efficiency and accuracy.
- Audit shipments for quality control, ensuring load accuracy and preventing discrepancies.
- Ensure load and gate times are met to avoid delays or additional costs.
- Stage container shipments and ensure proper loading procedures are followed.
- Operate warehouse machinery, including forklifts and pallet jacks, while performing required safety checks.
- Verify shipments against bills of lading and inspect for damages, shortages, or overages.
- Document and report discrepancies, damages, or issues to warehouse leadership.
- Maintain warehouse security, cleanliness, and adherence to safety standards.
- Assist in training new associates and support leadership in resolving operational challenges.
- Operate a yard tractor to move trailers and containers within the facility premises.
- Hook, unhook, raise, and lower trailer landing gear as needed.
- Back trailers into dock doors and pull out trailers for loading/unloading.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on tractors, trailers, and switch gears, completing inspection reports.
- Ensure trailers are properly secured, chocked, and positioned for safety.
- Conduct routine yard checks and maintain proper organization of trailers.
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid state-issued driver’s license; Valid Class A or C CDL preferred
- 1 years’ experience in the operation of a tractor-trailer unit in a yard driver/warehouse setting
- Forklift certified and/or ability to obtain certification
- Previous experience in LTL, TL or Freight Forwarding environment preferred
- Knowledge of and understands warehousing, inventory and shipping procedures
- Knowledge of warehouse machinery and other safety guidelines
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and hazardous material handling procedures Knowledge of trailer loading procedures
- Ability to lead others in order manage tasks/projects as assigned and to support leadership and meet project and facility goals and deadlines
- Ability to work in a fast paced, ever-changing environment
- 3 years of warehouse experience, including forklift operation and standup reach truck
- Experience with RF picking systems and warehouse management systems (WMS)
- Ability to operate hostler trucks safely and efficiently in various weather conditions and tight spaces
- Ability to read and understand bills of lading and manifests
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects, some weighing up to 75 lbs.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic warehouse environment.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently
