Sales & Compensation Analyst
Lead the development, communication, maintenance, calculation and reporting of all the various company-wide incentive programs. This role is essential in driving sales performance and margin improvement, helping the organization achieve its strategic goals, and maintain competitive positioning of the organization's pay programs within the industry
Sales & Compensation Analyst - responsibilities and essential job functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Lead the monthly, quarterly, and yearly calculation of all company incentive programs
- Present incentive program results to management and secure necessary approvals.
- Collaborate with Finance, Sales, and Operations to support and optimize incentive plans, driving sales performance and improving overall company margins
- Analyze compensation data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Consolidate and manipulate large data sets to ensure accuracy in reporting.
- Provide detailed documentation of incentive program results and work with Payroll and HR on payment approvals
- Continuously evaluate incentive compensation processes, tools, and systems to enhance accuracy and transparency.
- Develop, review, and refine new and existing incentive plans to align with organizational goals
- Monitor changes in the competitive and regulatory environment to ensure compensation programs remain compliant with applicable laws and regulations.
- Conduct regular market research to benchmark the organization’s pay programs against industry standards
- Build strong relationships with the Executive leadership team, providing key insights on compensation, margin, and incentive payouts.
- Work collaboratively across departments to ensure incentive programs align with broader company objectives
Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics or related area or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 1 years’ experience in compensation and variable pay, financial analysis, business intelligence or related area preferred
- Knowledge and application of total rewards and compensation and variable pay programs, including applicable federal, state and local regulations a plus
- Familiarity with compensation management software a plus
- Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in entire Microsoft Office suite
- Experience working with Data Analytics tools; Power BI a plus
- Strong mathematical aptitude, analytical skills and strategic thinking
- Effective problem solving and situation analysis skills required
- Ability to consolidate and manipulate large data sets with a commitment to accuracy and details
- Ability to define, aggregate, and analyze metrics to assess performance drivers
- Strong written, verbal and graphic communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate technical information to varying audiences
- Ability to maintain attention to detail on multiple, simultaneous projects/priorities required
- Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently
