Overview
We are seeking a friendly and organized Host to join our dynamic team in the hospitality industry. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring an exceptional dining experience. This role requires excellent communication skills, a passion for guest relations, and the ability to manage reservations effectively.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly as they arrive and escort them to their tables.
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements
- Provide menus and inform guests
- Maintain an organized waiting list during peak hours and communicate wait times to guests.
- Assist in ensuring the dining area and guest restrooms are clean, inviting, and well-stocked with necessary supplies.
- Handle guest inquiries and concerns with professionalism and courtesy.
- Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow.
- Uphold high standards of guest services in accordance with hotel or restaurant policies.
- Assist servers and retail staff as necessary
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year food service/hospitality required.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with guests.
- Excellent phone etiquette
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A positive attitude and a passion for providing outstanding guest experiences.
- Familiarity with restaurant operations or hotel settings is a plus.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and some holidays.
