The General Manager is responsible for daily store operations in accordance with company policies in support of the District Manager. Must be able to follow responsibilities as outlined on General Manager requirements and any other responsibilities assigned by supervisors and upper management.

Essential duties and responsibilities
- Must be available to work a flexible schedule.
- Maintains professional work appearance and demeanor. Must be role model for employees and in required uniform at all times.
- Practices safe cash handling procedures in accordance with company policies.
- Prepares and balances daily paperwork.
- Makes customer service the first priority. Gives prompt and courteous service at all times.
- Complies with all credit card and check acceptance policies and regulations.
- Recruits, interviews and selects and trains staff.
- Inspects restrooms throughout shift to insure cleanliness and company standards.
- Maintains expected store appearance requirements, including but not limited to maintaining and cleaning equipment and restroom cleanliness. Advises management of any maintenance issues.
- Completes any and all required periodic training.
- Must be able to stand for required shift.
- Acts in accordance with company policies to achieve sales and profit expectations. Ensures management is made aware of all sales, cash or operating discrepancies. Advises of any situation that may have an adverse effect on store operating performance. Protects company assets at all times.
- Must know and practice state rules and regulations regarding alcohol, tobacco and lottery sales.
- Must attend staff meetings as required and prepare any and all required reports.
- Must adhere and practice state rules and regulations regarding Food safety
- Any and all other duties assigned by supervisors.

- Cash overages/shortages/drive offs/inventory control figures are within company accepted standards.

Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Driver’s License or Government issued Photo ID.
- Background check must be satisfactory.
- Pre-employment drug screen must be passed.
- One year experience in customer service/retail environment with management experience
- Ability to handle money efficiently.
- Ability to process or learn to process required paperwork.
- Must be focused on customer service.
- Effective communicator, polite and courteous.
