Overview :
R&P is looking for an experienced professional who wants to join our RTN DDG Support Team. We are a small-sized defense contractor providing Engineering, Logistics, Program Management and Technical Services to government clients. We need an experienced Combat Systems Test Technician ready to join a fast-paced and exciting work environment.
Responsibilities :
- Assist in the planning and coordination of Combat system equipment installations
- Perform equipment installation, checkout, testing, reporting of results, SW, HW and FW upgrades and maintaining records as required
- Collaborate with other systems engineers and ship operators.
- Provide regular internal status reports to the System Test Team Leads
- Provide underway system support for at sea events
- Support system test activities either by performing testing for systems part of the TSCEI network or as support to the systems under test
- Support, as needed, demonstration of ship systems to Board of Inspectors and Survey (INSURV)
- Interact with the Shipbuilder, SUPSHIP, Ships Force and outside venders on TSCE issues and concerns.
- Ability to perform normal climbing and lifting associated with working in a shipboard environment
- Perform test witnessing
- Validate an extensive range of US Navy Combat Systems and associated equipment in the combat suite
- Able to perform hands on testing in multiple areas of Combat Systems
