GM Dealer Parts Manager

As a GM Parts Department Manager for our Chevrolet dealership, your role is essential in making our mechanical, vehicle maintenance, and body repair departments operate efficiently by making sure needed parts are available to our technicians.

Responsibilities
- Ensure all employees adhere to work schedules and company policies.
- Establish department goals and objectives including inventory management and profit margins.
- Hire, train, motivate, and monitor parts department staff performance.
- Coordinate with service and body shop managers for timely parts availability.
- Maintain high-quality service for both internal and external customers.
- Manage inventory levels and establish good working relationships with other departments.
- Assist customers professionally and courteously.
- Monitor paperwork and special order parts efficiently.
- Supervise stock order procedures and warranty/return parts processing.
- Price parts accurately and keep price parameters to ensure profitability.
- Comply with safety regulations and conduct technical training as required.
- Help maintain parts stock in orderly condition
Requirements
- Two or more years of automotive parts management experience preferred.
- Two or more years of sales experience preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment independently.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Professional demeanor and strong work ethic.
- Enjoys working in a competitive and assertive environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
