Crane Operator

R. R. Cassidy, Inc is seeking a full-time Crane/Equipment Operator. Our company specializes in deep foundation drilling, driven pipe pile, and caisson work in the electric power industry. Applicants must be willing to travel on a 10/4 rotation. The ideal candidate must have a strong work ethic and is knowledgeable is troubleshooting heavy equipment product lines.

Responsibilities:

• Operates and monitors performance of the heavy construction type equipment, such as bulldozers, loaders, skid steers, excavators, marsh buggies, forklifts, shovels, etc
• Learn and follow safety regulations.
• Take actions to avoid potential hazards or obstructions, such as utility lines, other equipment, other workers, or falling objects.
• Coordinate machine actions with other activities, positioning or moving loads in response to hand or audio signals from crew members.
• Align machines, cutter heads, or depth gauge makers with reference stakes and guidelines or ground or position equipment, following hand signals of other workers.
• Load and move dirt, rocks, equipment, or other materials, using loaders, excavator, skid steers, shovels, and/or other types of equipment
• Perform specialized work, using equipment, such as pile drivers, dredging rigs, drillers, or concrete pumpers.
• Load/unload trucks that require lifting 50 to 75 pounds
• Responsible for housekeeping in the equipment, facility, and job site
• Help the field labor team as needed

Job Qualifications:

• NCCCO LBC certifications required.
• 2-5 years of crane operating experience; deep foundation drilling preferred
• Safety oriented focus with attention to detail and situational awareness

Physical Requirements:

• Must be physically able to operate a variety of machines, tools, and equipment which may include telephone, motor vehicle, skid steers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, marsh buggies, forklifts, shovels, etc.
• Must be able to use body members to work, move or carry objects/materials.
• Must be able to exert more than seventy-five (75) pounds occasionally, and/or more than fifty (50) pounds of force frequently. Physical demand requirements are at levels of those for very heavy work.
• Must be able to handle physical labor in regular and extreme temperatures.
