As an expanding company, R.R. Cassidy is looking for a Field Safety Representative who is experienced, self-motivated, adaptable in fast-paced environments, and willing to embrace the challenges of evolving tasks and structures. This full-time, permanent position is based in Beaumont, Texas, with a requirement to travel as needed by specific projects.
Location: Must be within a commutable distance to our office in Southwest Beaumont.
- Performs job hazard analysis to determine site specific hazards and coordinate with all levels of project supervision to eliminate, guard, and protect employees, customers, and the general public from recognized hazards.
- Compile crew observation forms, vehicle and equipment forms and submit documents to project supervision and the corporate safety department at required intervals.
- Ensure inspection on equipment, tools, vehicles, working conditions and procedures are being performed for the safety of employees engaged in the construction and maintenance of overhead and underground power and telecommunication systems.
- Inspect climbing equipment, fall protection equipment, rigging practices, rigging equipment, personal protective equipment, rubber, and plastic insulating equipment.
- Removes from service any defective equipment, or equipment not meeting safety requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, incidents, training activities, and compliance documentation. Prepare reports for management and regulatory agencies as required.
- 7 years of field safety experience in a Relay or Substation environment, Required
- Experience leading and mentoring more junior level safety reps is strongly preferred
- Must be within a reasonable commuting distance
- Ability to travel to local project sites, main office in Prairieville, LA and other project sites in and outside the state

Safety Licenses/Certifications preferred
- CIH, CSP, CUSP, OSHT, CHS, COSS, COSM, CSST, CSSS
- Degree in Safety, Occupational Health, or related; highly preferred
- Ability to travel overnight, 50% (per diem included)
