R&R Construction, a site contractor, founded in 1960 and experts in excavation-specializing in heavy earthwork, underground utilities and paving is seeking a Heavy Equipment Diesel Mechanic to join their team.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diesel engine repair and maintenance, with the ability to work on various types of heavy equipment and farm machinery. This role requires a commitment to safety and quality workmanship.

Hours Monday-Friday 7 : 00am-4 : 30pm, Saturday 1-2 days a month (rotation)

Heavy Equipment Diesel MechanicResponsibilities :
Maintain R&R Constructions fleet and clients equipment
Diagnose and repair diesel engines and related systems, ensuring optimal performance.
Perform routine maintenance on heavy equipment and farm machinery, including oil changes, filter replacements, and inspections.
Utilize power tools and industrial equipment to complete repairs efficiently.
Conduct heavy lifting as needed to facilitate repairs and maintenance tasks.
Maintain accurate records of services performed and parts used for each vehicle or piece of equipment.
Communicate effectively with Shop Manager regarding diagnosis and repair needs.
Operate heavy equipment as necessary for testing or repairs.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean work environment.
Heavy Equipment Diesel Mechanic Qualifications :
5 years of heavy equipment diesel mechanic experience
4 years of electrical schematics experience-reading and troubleshooting
Experience with CAT, Volvo and Komatsu heavy equipment
Knowledge of heavy equipment maintenance software-HCSS Mechanic 360 or similar
Familiarity with at least one of the following diagnostic software : CAT, DIESEL LAPTOP, ET, JPRO, NEXIQ, ALL DATA, CUMMINS INSITE, TEXA
Experience with engine rebuilds and hydraulic systems
Must be able to lift 75 pounds
Must be able to pass a physical, drug test, background check and have a clean driving record
Heavy Equipment Diesel Mechanic Preferred-not required :
Experience working out of a service truck strongly preferred
