Position Summary
The Recruiter is responsible for managing the recruiting, onboarding and training process for new construction hires, job site safety, handling employee workplace accidents and ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations. They are responsible for coordinating with the placement team to ensure the workers are adequately trained for the job.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
· Supports the company by ensuring consistent recruitment to maintain a large active roster of trained available workers to place into client’s job sites
· Supports the placement team by providing necessary training required workers to fill roles in a timely manner
· Conducts all required onboarding and OSHA training with new employees to maintain compliance
· Flexibility to travel between projects daily to ensure workplace safety compliance
· Implementation and execution of safety guidelines
· Investigate workplace accidents and manages process
· Can become Flagger Instructor Trained, and can train new hires to become flagger certified
· Keeping in compliance with and abreast of all MOSH and OSHA regulations
· Responsible for writing and implementing standard operating procedures
· Frequently visits job sites to ensure performance from staff and managing relationships with Foreman and/or Site Superintendent
· Perform any other tasks assigned by management
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities)
· Bilingual in both Spanish and English required
· Bachelor’s degree preferred
· OSHA 30 certified
· Principles of Occupational Safety and Health certified
· 4 years of experience within the construction industry
· Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
· Ability to work well with ever changing priorities and/or situations
· Must be a self-starter who can work well with people at all levels both in the office and out in the field
· Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook and other ERP software
· Valid Driver’s license, clean driving record and at least 21 years old
Location – Olney and Columbia MD, with job sites throughout the Baltimore and DC metro areas
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
