Job Description

As a PreMedia Tech 4/Comptuter Programmer, you will be responsible for retrieving electronic documents/files from the network and organizing documentation for multiple jobs.

You will evaluate specifications for Direct Mail Production jobs, which will entail data manipulation, programming business logic rules as required to fulfill Client specifications and manufacturing requirements.

Work with CSRs in reviewing and releasing jobs to the manufacturing floor, while ensuring quality assurance procedures are followed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Programming direct mail projects
• Writing programs to fulfill Client and manufacturing requirements
• Performing database manipulation
• Performing postal processing
• Remaining familiar with postal regulations and printing capabilities
• Performing quality assurance checks
• Printing reports and job documentation as required

Additional Responsibilities:

• Providing extended hours coverage to departmental projects as required by schedule, supervisor, and manager

Requirements:

• BS degree in programming or related field preferred or minimal 3 years industry work experience
• Excellent organizational and project management skills
• Excellent communication and time management skills
• Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Access)
• Strong internal and external customer satisfaction focus
• Programming experience in PrintNet T (by GMC Software Technologies, Inc.), PReS (by Print Soft), or Composer (by Scitex) would be beneficial
• Experience with XLO programming is a plus
• Mail personalization and postal processing knowledge a plus
• Additional experience with Quark, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Acrobat (not just Acrobat Reader) is a plus
