Purchasing Specialist  

Compensation Range: $55,000 Depending on Experience

Your role with us: 

As a Purchasing Specialist at R & R Heating and Air Conditioning, you will play a key role in ensuring the seamless operation of our business. This is a new position within the company, so you will be responsible for creating and maintaining the purchasing program. Your responsibilities will include managing vendor relationships, negotiating contracts to secure high-quality products at competitive prices, and optimizing procurement strategies to meet the evolving needs of our HVAC operations. By monitoring inventory levels, coordinating timely deliveries, and collaborating across all departments, you will ensure that our teams are equipped to deliver exceptional service. Additionally, you will evaluate current processes, identify opportunities for cost savings, and provide actionable reports to support decision-making. This role is vital in driving efficiency, building strong partnerships, and contributing to the success of our organization.

Requirements

What you will need to succeed: 

• Experience: Proven experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management, with a preference for expertise in the HVAC industry or a related field.
• Negotiation Skills: A strong ability to negotiate and secure favorable agreements with vendors to meet business goals.
• Organization: Exceptional organizational and time management skills to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in purchasing and inventory management software, ServiceTitan preferred, and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) to streamline purchasing processes.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, paired with strong interpersonal abilities, to foster effective collaboration with vendors and internal teams.
• Proactive Mindset: A results-driven approach with a focus on optimizing processes, improving efficiency, and delivering measurable results.
