RESPONSIBILITIES:
Daily accountabilities involve analyzing new business and renewal applications (for accounts up to $25,000 in premium), assisting in market selection, obtaining quotes utilizing insurance company internet rating programs, and forwarding electronic submissions to insurance companies. This position will be working closely with internal producers and maintaining the relationship with carriers to make sure that business is being placed accordingly. Other duties include reviewing and negotiating final quotes to ensure quality and adequate insurance coverage is secured. The ideal candidate will possess insurance company experience in such roles as underwriting, rating, or account management.
REQUIREMENTS
- Active Property & Casualty Insurance License
- 2 years of commercial insurance knowledge
- Strong computer navigation and data entry skills
- Attention to detail
- Excellent oral and written skills
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work under time constraints in a fast paced environment
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a team environment
- Broad working knowledge of technical procedures in insurance coverages, procedures, and rating/coding
- Willingness to conduct frequent interactions with insurance company personnel and internal sales executives
- Strong problem solving skills, willingness to take initiative, and solve problems of medium scope and complexity
