Our client is a really great, local IT Service Provider looking for an equally great Business Development lead to join their team.

This is a small team of very talented individuals providing service that is simply a far-and-away better experience than their competition - both for their customers, and their employees. The team really has everything in place to grow…except YOU.

Have you ever wished your sales were more meaningful to your company? We’re launching a 3-year organic growth initiative. As the person solely responsible for new client acquisition and reporting directly to the CEO, you won't be merely one of many people grinding out an attempt to make some sales for the company. You will be THE salesperson for a company, strategically critical in helping us to move the company forward over the next 3-5 years.

This is one of those rare opportunities to sell a superior service, the way you want to sell it, and get paid what you deserve. We have clear expectations and goals for this role :

What your sales goals will be :

  • Year 1 : $50,000 of new monthly recurring revenue ($600,000 annualized revenue)
  • Year 2 : $100,000 of new monthly recurring revenue ($1.2M annualized revenue)
  • Year 3 : $150,000 of new monthly recurring revenue ($1.8M annualized revenue)

What we hope your corresponding commissions will be :

  • Year 1 : $50-100k
  • Year 2 : $100-150k
  • Year 3 : $150-250k
  • This role does include a base salary and great benefits - Health Insurance, 401k with Match, PTO, Holidays.

    Here’s what you will be doing :

  • Learning all about our company's services and differentiators
  • Generating your own leads
  • Running a repeatable sales “process”
  • Tracking your sales activities in our CRM application
  • Closing IT and cybersecurity services contracts with middle-market and lower-enterprise companies within 6 specific industries
  • Here’s what you will not be doing :

  • Worrying about anything related to our company's internal operations
  • Managing other sales people
  • Selling into current clients
  • Requirements of anyone hoping to interview for this position :

  • You have answered “yes” to the question, “Can I hit the goals laid out above?”
  • You have experience that demonstrates you can hit these goals
  • You have executive presence, but a roll-up-your-sleeves attitude
  • You have a desire to be part of a start-up like company
  • You are a humble rainmaker, not the kind no one likes
  • You are entrepreneurial in your thinking, and in your approaches
  • You sell with integrity and do the right thing 100% of the time
  • You're local - there's no way this is a fully-remote role. You'll be in office with us, and especially onsite with current and prospective clients, on a regular basis.

    Open to travel - we don't anticipate much overnight travel, but if the business continues to grow, that may become a necessary part of our sales process.
