Location : Newark, Ohio
Work Hours : Monday - Friday, 7 AM to 5 / 6 PM. Overtime available. Some Saturdays may be required. Travel is dependent on the specific contracted job.
Work conditions : This position is mostly outside, doing strenuous work in the elements.
Compensation : Approximately DOE

Job Summary :
A Hydrovac Truck Operator is tasked with safely and efficiently operating hydro excavation trucks to perform various tasks, including but not limited to locating utilities, vacuuming Directional Drill fluids, and trench excavation.
Role Responsibilities :

Operate hydro excavation trucks to suction and transport liquids, sludges, and other materials from designated sites
Follow established procedures for loading, transporting, and unloading materials, adhering to all safety protocols
Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate work activities and ensure efficient operations
Identify necessary tasks needed based on direction given from Field Leadership
Perform pre and post inspections and daily maintenance on equipment
Willingness to perform non-operating tasks as needed
Maintain a clean, organized job site free from unnecessary hazards
Perform Driver’s Vehicle Inspections and cleaning on vehicles and equipment
Perform other duties as assigned by leadership
Requirements :
1 year of experience operating a hydrovac truck
Must have current CDL with Tanker Endorsement
Must be able to withstand the climate year-round
Must currently posess an Insurable Driver’s License
Ability to be a team player with a can-do attitude
Pass DOT drug-testing & DOT physical
Pass criminal background check
Ability to use independent judgment and be self-motivating
Ability to adhere to safety expectations set by OSHA and client / company standards
Ability to complete computer-based and hands-on training once hired
Willingness to travel out of town if necessary
Ability to use personal vehicles for commuting to job sites as required.
Complete development and training as required.
Physical capability to handle tasks.
Preferred Requirements :
High school diploma or equivalent
2 years of experience operating a hydrovac truck
3 years of experience in the utility infrastructure industry
