Summary:
The role entails a wide range of tasks, from basic to difficult to hazardous. These may include clearing and preparing a site; operating machinery; tend to livestock; general farm duties.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Operate and control heavy machinery and equipment at construction sites, such as bulldozers, cranes and excavators.
- Maintain and Maintenance farm equipment
- Clean out horse stalls
- Feed and water horses daily
- Fencing and repairs-Maintaining and repairing fences, gates, and other farm infrastructure
- Mow and weed-eat property
- Basic farmhand duties
- Clean and prepare construction sites by removing debris and possible hazards.
- Load and unload building materials and equipment.
- Other duties as assigned
Physical Demands The physical demands described here such as lifting up to 75lbs repeatedly, bending, squatting, sitting, standing, and walking for long periods of time are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
Based on the above essential functions this job is a safety sensitive job function.
Qualifications:
- Experience in general construction
- Verifiable experience operating heavy equipment
- Ability to work with hardware tools and power equipment
- Creative problem solving, ability to multitask, prioritize and manage time effectively
- Ability to transport, handle and/or lift 75 lbs
- Ability to work from standing, sitting, kneeling and stooping positions
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays (if needed)
- Ability to always maintain safety while on the job
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record, Class A CDL preferred
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Construction experience: 2 years is preferred
- Spray foam insulation experience preferred
- Ability to operate a tractor, forklift, backhoe, bobcat equipment is preferred
Seasonal/part-time position only. Pay depends upon experience.
