Position Title:
Maintenance Technician
Schedule
Monday – Saturday (Occasional Weekend)
7 am – Order Completion
Position Summary:
Since 1983, Vidalia Valley (originally Manning Farms) has been committed to providing you with the finest whole peeled onions and gourmet condiments. Vidalia Valley is seeking an experienced maintenance technician to perform routine maintenance on the machines utilized for daily production, along with general building needs.
Responsibilities:
Install, repair and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance
Locate the sources of problems by observation
Dismantle machinery to remove/replace defective parts
Determine changes in requirements of parts by inspecting and measuring various instruments
Maintain inventory of equipment and supplies by checking stock and notifying manager
Provide mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests
Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations in accordance with food safety
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role
Must be able to stand for minimum of 8 hours/day
Must be able to work minimum of 40 hrs/week
Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, pneumatics, hydraulics, HVAC, and boilers
