Position Description
The Engineering Manager (EM) will lead and oversee all engineering functions within Saunders, including new business onboarding & design, project management, continuous improvement, manufacturing, and processing. The EM will shape the company’s engineering strategy while ensuring efficient operations to meet customer and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the Saunders engineering function and all associated activities.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of engineers while promoting a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Develop and implement engineering strategies and identify efficiency improvements.
- Drive innovative product development and manufacturing processes.
- Ensure designs meet internal, customer, and regulatory requirements.
- Identify and resolve bottlenecks and quality issues in manufacturing processes.
- Promote lean manufacturing and other continuous improvement methodologies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project execution and KPI achievement.
- Communicate project progress and issues to stakeholders and Sr. Leadership.
- Work with Quality Assurance to implement testing and validation procedures.
- Analyze client designs and lead prototype development.
- Evaluate defective materials and provide feedback to vendors.
- Participate in the writing / review of manufacturing documentation.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Compensation and Benefits
Target Base Annual Compensation range for this Exempt role is ~$125k DOE. This is a Full-Time position, eligible for benefits including : Paid Time off; major medical, dental, vision; Company paid disability; paid parental leave; and Employee Stock Ownership Program (ESOP).
