Job Description: Part-Time Non-Faculty Football Coach
R-S Middle School is seeking a dedicated and motivated individual to serve as a Part-Time Non-Faculty Football Coach for our middle school football program. This position is responsible for assisting in the development of student-athletes both on and off the field while promoting sportsmanship, teamwork, and school pride.

Location: R-S Middle School
Status: Part-Time, Seasonal
Compensation: Stipend (No Benefits)
Responsibilities:
- Coach and mentor student-athletes in grades 6-8 in football fundamentals, skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
- Assist with planning and leading practices, conditioning sessions, and game strategies.
- Supervise student-athletes during all team-related activities including practices, games, and travel (if applicable).
- Foster a positive and inclusive team environment that promotes personal growth, academic responsibility, and character development.
- Communicate effectively with student-athletes, parents, school administration, and other coaches.
- Ensure compliance with all school, district, and athletic conference policies and procedures.
- Maintain the safety and well-being of all student-athletes at all times.
Qualifications:
- Prior coaching and/or playing experience in football preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to serve as a positive role model for middle school students.
- Must pass all background checks required by Rutherford County Schools.
- CPR/First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).
Position Details:
- This is a part-time, seasonal position with a stipend.
- This is a non-faculty position and does not include benefits.
- Practice and game schedules may require afternoon, evening, and some weekend availability.
