Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Patrol Officer with integrity to join our security team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining safety and security within assigned areas, utilizing effective surveillance techniques, and responding to incidents as they arise. This role requires a proactive approach to conflict management and loss prevention, ensuring a secure environment for all individuals on the premises.
Duties
- Conduct hourly patrols of the hospital parking lot, building perimeter, and both the inside and outside of the building.
- Utilize Real-time GPS tracking and checkpoint notifications.
- Act as a visual deterrent to prevent trespassing and assist hospital staff when required.
- Follow all work orders outlined by the property management team, including emergency operations plans and hospital codes and safety standards.
- Report any unusual activity to management and contact law enforcement if necessary.
- Monitor CCTV systems and respond promptly to any alerts or incidents.
- Engage in conflict management strategies to de-escalate all potential disturbances. With a calming attitude.
- Provide first aid and CPR assistance as needed during emergencies.
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when necessary to ensure safety protocols are upheld.
- Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and observations for reporting purposes.
- Assist in loss prevention efforts by identifying vulnerabilities and implementing corrective measures.
- Ensure compliance with all security policies and procedures while maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.
Qualifications
- Certification in security Guard Card. Previous law enforcement is preferred, not required.
- Experience in loss prevention, surveillance, or related fields is advantageous.
- Strong conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure at all times.
- Proficient in the use of CCTV systems and other surveillance equipment.
- Willing to pickup, push, pull 30 lbs. Sitting standing and walking for extended periods.
- Knowledge of first aid and CPR techniques certification is a plus.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating very strong communication skills.
- A militarized background may be beneficial but is not mandatory.
