POSITION SUMMARY: The Salesforce Steward plays a critical role in ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and consistency of data within the Salesforce CRM platform. This position supports data governance initiatives by managing data entry standards, monitoring data quality, and implementing best practices for data maintenance. The steward collaborates closely with cross-functional teams including Sales, Marketing, and IT to uphold Salesforce as a trusted source for customer and business information.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Monitor and maintain data quality across Salesforce, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
- Identify and resolve data issues, including duplicates, missing values, and outdated information.
- Support onboarding of new data sources and integrations to Salesforce, ensuring data alignment and cleanliness.
- Collaborate with Salesforce Admins, Developers, and Business Analysts to enhance system processes and reporting capabilities.
- Perform routine data audits and generate reports to track data health metrics.
- Assist end-users with Salesforce data entry, updates, and troubleshooting.
- Participate in CRM projects involving data migration, system upgrades, and new feature rollouts.
- Document data management processes and maintain data dictionaries as needed.
- Train staff on proper Salesforce usage and data best practices.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or equivalent work experience
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience working in Salesforce or similar CRM system
- Familiarity with data import / export tools (Data Loader, Import Wizard, etc.)
- Strong analytical thinking – ability to identify root causes of data issues
- High attention to detail
- Good communication skills
- Proactive, organized, and comfortable working cross-functionally
- Must feel comfortable working in a dynamic, team-based environment
- Able to follow verbal and written instructions with minimal supervision within specified time frames
- Proficiency in office management software (MS Office, Outlook, Word, Excel)
