Job Description
To hit the ground running, you are comfortable across the entire engineering life cycle leading to a successful product launch and ongoing improvements. In particular:

• Proven industry experience with Android platform and embedded systems development.
• Strong proficiency in Java for Android application and framework development.
• Proficiency in C/C for embedded systems and native Android development.
• Familiarity with real-time operating systems (RTOS) and hardware-software interaction.
• Experience with debugging tools, emulators, and performance optimization techniques.
• Knowledge of communication protocols (e.g., Ethernet, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi).
• Strong proficiency in version control systems, including Git and cloud based Git platforms (Github, Bitbucket, Gitlab, etc.)

In addition, while not essential, it is a definite plus if:

• Proficiency in radar signal processing, DSP algorithms, and scripting languages (e.g., Python).

Roles & Responsibilities
As a collaborative individual contributor and subject-matter expert (SME) on a Team of equals, you will use your superpowers (listed above) to collaborate with others with their superpowers (you ll work with others who excel at business strategy, product management, user experience and industrial design, electronics design and engineering, software architecture and development, supply chain and logistics management, finance and business modeling, SCRUM and program management, business development and contracting, sales, and marketing) in a supportive and safe team setting to achieve company goals.

You will contribute to a team responsible for:

• Customize and optimize AOSP subsystems for purpose-built Android devices, including HAL, native libraries, and Android framework components.
• Collaborate with hardware teams to define system requirements, integrate peripherals, and ensure compatibility.
• Debug and resolve issues across the Android stack, ensuring high-quality, reliable systems.
• Implement and optimize device drivers, board support packages (BSPs), and communication protocols (e.g., UART, SPI, I2C).
• Contribute to the design and development of software targeting embedded SoCs like ARM, NXP, and Microchip.
• Lead the integration of ML models into Android systems using TensorFlow or similar frameworks.
• Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and technical design sessions.

Education/Qualification:

• Bachelor s or Master s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering
