Janitor

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires a proactive approach to custodial duties, with an emphasis on quality and efficiency.

Duties

• Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming to maintain cleanliness in assigned areas.
• Conduct floor care activities such as buffing and polishing to ensure surfaces are well-maintained.
• Assist with industrial cleaning tasks as needed, ensuring compliance with safety and health regulations.
• Carry out facilities maintenance duties, addressing minor repairs and upkeep of the premises.
• Manage custodial supplies and equipment, ensuring they are stored properly and used efficiently.
• Support commercial cleaning efforts by maintaining high standards of cleanliness in public areas, restrooms, and offices.
• Engage in residential painting projects when required, contributing to the overall aesthetic of the facilities.
• Act as a porter when necessary, assisting with the movement of furniture or equipment within the facility.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in custodial or janitorial roles preferred but not required; training will be provided.
• Familiarity with floor care techniques and equipment is beneficial.
• Knowledge of industrial cleaning practices is an advantage.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Excellent time management skills to effectively prioritize tasks throughout the shift.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Physical stamina to perform manual labor including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $13.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 30 per week

• Monday to Friday
