GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a Quality Control Inspector to join our receiving inspection team at our Honey Brook, PA location. This position is responsible for providing day-to-day inspection support within our General Fabrication, ASME Section VIII, and NQA-1 markets. This position will play an integral role in the growth and improvement of the RVII organization through elevating first pass quality, increased project throughput, on-time delivery, and project expectations.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITES
- Professionally represent RVI’s quality programs in accordance with manuals and procedures
- Maintain adherence with all M&TE requirements, testing requirements, and procedures
- Perform inspection on incoming and outgoing materials and services
- Perform inspections using measuring tools (caliper, micrometer, tape, etc.)
- Document and intelligently communicate inspection findings and document on reports
- Read engineering drawing and material specifications to determine compliance
SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS
- Ability to understand and interpret design and manufacturing drawings
- Working knowledge of nationally recognized codes (ASME, ANSI, API, AWS) and NQA-1 Quality Systems
- Understanding of GD&T requirements including performing calculations
- Communicate effectively in both written and oral manner
- Ability to write routine reports and communications
- Ability to obtain additional NDE Level II certifications in VT, PT, UT-T, BLT, and MT
- Strong work ethic

EDUCATIONAL/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Ability to follow written and verbal directions
- Ability to pass quality control tests including visual acuity testing
- Everyday exposure to moving machinery, welding arc flash, dust, dirt, grease or other disagreeable elements
- Previous experience using portable CMM equipment is a plus
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Self-motivated with attention to detail and accurate reporting
- Proficient in MS Office suite products
