If you are a recent grad or looking to get into the trades, this manufacturing job is for you! You will be working our pre fabrication department cleaning parts, sandblasting, and polishing all while learning the industry!
The variety of products and services R-V Industries offers provides opportunities for all associates to experience multiple roles within the manufacturing process. This position, in particular, requires a person who enjoys serving in multiple departments and assisting with several projects at the same time. The Manufacturing Specialist will assist the Pre-Fab, Manufacturing, and Painting departments and will need to operate an assortment of machinery.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITES
- Load and unload materials
- Cut scrap with hand plasma burner
- Weigh and document scrap bins
- Set up and operate polishing equipment
- Prepare surfaces to be coated by using various methods to remove grease, dirt, or rust
- Assist with abrasive blasting, high pressure water washing, or power wire brushing
- Assist with applying paint and/or spray coatings to various manufactured products
- Assist the burner operator with loading and unloading of materials
- Maintain buffing materials and equipment
- Operate specialized moving equipment to position materials
- Maintain a safe working environment by conducting inspections on equipment; following instructions on work order; and examining completed product
SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS
- 2 years of experience in a manufacturing or construction environment * * Experience operating tow motors, pallet jacks, overhead cranes, and fork lifts
- Demonstrated understanding of equipment needed for a job
- Able to interpret blue prints and work order instructions
- Must be proficient with general mathematics
- Able to communicate effectively and be a team player
- Must have a valid driver’s license
PHYSICAL AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Forklift certification recommended.
- Outside work required, must be able to work in all seasons of the year.
- Must be able to lift at least 50lbs regularly.
- Will be required to stand for extended periods of time, as well as twist, grab, bend, and reach.
- Must have accurate depth perception and sensation to inspect and approve materials.
- Must be able to perform the essential job functions with or without accommodations
- Participate in regular safety trainings to stay current on safe procedures and practices
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
