Role :

We’re seeking an experienced and hands-on Operations Director to lead daily operations at our, D.C. , wash hub. Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, this role is essential in ensuring smooth operations and delivering an exceptional reuse program experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all daily hub operations, including inventory management, wash-cycle productivity, staffing, logistics, and administrative activities.
  • Anticipate venue demand and create proactive plans to ensure a steady supply of sanitized cups for events.
  • Monitor and maintain accurate inventory records to support precise customer billing.

Team Management :

  • Recruit, train, schedule, and manage a high-performing team.
  • Conduct performance evaluations, provide coaching, and implement corrective actions when necessary.
  • Foster a collaborative, empowered, and accountable work culture.

    • Client & Partner Collaboration :

  • Represent r.World professionally in client interactions and at events.
  • Work closely with the Sales team to establish new venue locations, including staff training and placement of bins, signage, and inventory.

    • Continuous Improvement :

  • Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure financial and operational goals are met.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance quality, efficiency, and productivity.

    • Safety & Facility Management :

  • Ensure the wash hub is clean, organized, and compliant with safety regulations.
  • Oversee maintenance schedules for equipment and vehicles to prevent downtime.

    • Qualifications

  • 3 years of leadership in operations, preferably in manufacturing, warehousing, or distribution.
  • Proven success in motivating and holding teams accountable while maintaining a positive work environment.
  • Track record of managing projects and delivering results on time.
  • Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience driving box trucks (valid driver’s license and clean driving record required).
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and operate equipment like pallet jacks and 26’ box trucks with lift gates.
  • Comfortable working in an ambiguous, fast-changing environment.
  • Eager to learn, grow, and tackle challenges head-on.

    • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Six Sigma or related project management certification.
