Senior Merchandising Analyst

R2Net is a diamond bridal jewelry company with a technology soul. R2Net Inc. is an innovative technology company that provides e-commerce and supply chain platforms to connect the entire span of the diamond industry's ecosystem, including manufacturers, retailers, and consumers.

We are looking for a highly analytical Senior Merchandising Analyst to drive sales and improve margins through effective data-driven strategies. Reporting to the Director of Strategic Merchandising, this role will support the Merchandising Team by providing key business analytics and transforming complex data into actionable insights. The ideal candidate excels at analyzing data, applying statistical methods, and delivering clear, impactful recommendations to inform and influence business decisions.

Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic business analysis that identifies opportunities for revenue growth and margin improvement through pricing strategies, product assortment, and promotional activities.
• Analyze price elasticities and spillover effects between brands to optimize pricing strategies and product positioning.
• Develop, refine, and manage regular merchandising reports and dashboards that highlight key performance metrics and product performance across categories.
• Collaborate with the buying, planning, marketing, and analytics teams to consolidate data and provide insights that inform business decisions.
• Develop KPIs and measurement systems that evaluate product lifecycle management, pricing effectiveness, and promotional impact.
• Leverage business intelligence tools (e.g., SQL, Tableau) to create actionable reports and deliver real-time visibility on product and promotional performance.
• Identify and analyze emerging trends in customer behavior, market conditions, and competitor activity to inform merchandising strategies.
• Support the development of strategic merchandising plans by analyzing past performance, current trends, and forecasting future opportunities.
• Assist in the development of pricing strategies and promotional calendars based on data-driven insights.
• Communicate findings and recommendations to senior leadership in a clear and actionable format.

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Economics, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or a related discipline.

• 4 years of experience in an analytics-based role, such as quantitative marketing, merchandising analytics, or data science.
• Strategic mindset with the ability to refine questions, develop analytical frameworks, and deliver actionable business insights.
• Strong business judgment and a pragmatic approach to ensure recommendations lead to impactful execution.
• Expertise in data analysis tools and programming languages, including SQL, Python, R, and statistical modeling techniques.
• Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms, with the ability to present data-driven insights clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
• A strategic mindset, excellent organizational and time management skills, and a passion for identifying trends and turning data into actionable business outcomes.
• Proven track record of driving business results through data-driven decision-making, with a focus on merchandising performance and optimizing business operations.

Annual base pay: $85,000 - $115,000. Final pay rate shall be determined and is based on experience and qualifications.
