Brand Manager - Consumer Packaged Goods

Location : Beaverton, Oregon, full-time onsite / hybrid and traveling up to 20% as required, relocation assistance provided

Compensation : $130-$140k 20% bonus

We're seeking a dynamic Brand Manager to lead growth initiatives for owned and private-label categories at a values-driven food manufacturing company. This role is at the forefront of marketing strategy, innovation, and cross-functional leadership, offering the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the business and marketplace.

Key Responsibilities

Brand Strategy and Growth

  • Develop short- and long-term marketing strategies and annual plans to achieve brand volume, share, and profitability objectives.
  • Lead brand positioning efforts using consumer insights, market trends, and competitive analysis.
  • Identify and implement business-building initiatives to enhance brand performance and market relevance.

Marketing Leadership

  • Oversee pricing strategies, promotional plans, merchandising, packaging development, and consumer programming.
  • Direct consumer communication strategies, including digital and traditional media, PR, and trade marketing.
  • Drive new product development from ideation to market launch, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure timely execution.
  • Analysis and Insight

  • Analyze category, competition, and consumer trends to inform strategies and adjust plans as needed.
  • Conduct consumer research to refine product development, promotional acceptance, and competitive positioning.
  • Monitor brand metrics, such as sales, margin, and SKU performance, to identify opportunities and make data-driven decisions.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with sales, regulatory, R&D, and operational teams to execute lifecycle strategies and ensure brand growth.
  • Engage with customer marketing and trade marketing to align programs and support sales initiatives.
  • Attend sales calls and contribute to category, brand, and competitive insights to drive customer engagement.
  • What You Bring

  • Experience : 7-10 years in brand marketing, preferably in consumer packaged goods (CPG).
  • Education : Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred.
  • Skills :
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical capabilities.

  • Proven leadership and ability to motivate cross-functional teams.
  • Expertise in developing consumer insights and research-driven strategies.
  • Creative problem solver with a vision for growth and innovation.
  • Proficient in core marketing fundamentals and NPD launch processes.
  • Technical Proficiency :
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills.

  • Experience with Nielsen or IRI data.
  • Traits :
  • Self-starter with excellent organizational and communication skills, a keen eye for detail, and a collaborative mindset.
