Water / Wastewater Engineer

We are looking for a Civil Project Engineer to join our growing engineering group as we expand our DC Metro Area office. In this role, you will drive the completion of pipeline and stormwater engineering design-related tasks associated with all facets of water, wastewater, and stormwater-related projects including planning, design, and construction management.
Specific responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to :
- Manage and execute the development of engineering solutions to address linear components associated with various aspects of water, wastewater, and stormwater conveyance and pumping facilities.
- Prepare and review design plans including the preparation of engineering design drawings, technical specifications, and engineering reports.
- Review shop drawings and respond to requests for information from contractors during construction.
- Research and develop sound technical solutions to conveyance and civil engineering components associated with water, wastewater, and stormwater-related facilities.
- Conduct on-site inspection / investigation including survey and documentation of client / facility issues and solutions. Develops reports of investigative findings, repair drawings, and specifications as required.
- Review the work of team members for completeness and quality of work prepared and provide mentoring through feedback and instructions as needed.
- Manage multiple tasks; this includes establishing goals and objectives for project teams and monitoring schedules and budgets to ensure effective completion of work accordingly.
- Schedule and coordinate project resources to prepare and deliver projects including detailed design drawings and specifications, technical reports, and planning documents.
- Maintain project records and perform all other assigned duties.
Minimum Requirements :
This position requires a hybrid work schedule which includes in-office work in DC Metro Area. The selected candidate must be available to work in DC Metro Area on a scheduled basis.
