Description
The Software QA Analyst handles testing and support of mobile and web applications for R3 Continuum, LLC. The primary area of responsibility is supporting the development of eCase Manager and associated proprietary web applications that manage workflow and case volume. eCase Manager is a complex application with several hundred web pages that supports unique business processes. The QA Analyst will also provide support to and work with users, management, and external vendors to understand their needs and expectations.
In addition to performing testing and other support tasks related to development, the QA Analyst will also be expected to prepare, develop, and deliver analytical reports using the tools provided. These reporting responsibilities require a good understanding of relational databases, statistics, data analysis, and the ability to work within the organization’s style guidelines. This position will require an individual who is able to understand and balance user and business needs and communicate effectively with the development team.
This role may require after-hours work that is scheduled or unscheduled during emergency situations. This is a collaborative role that requires regular cross departmental interaction with a focus on internal customer support. Assist with budget planning as it pertains to department needs.
Software QA Analyst Essential Functions
• Confirm reported issues and manually test defects, updates, and enhancements, ensuring software functions according to design specifications.
• Design, implement, execute, and maintain test cases based on requirements.
• Independently perform QA testing duties daily; reach out to others when additional tools, information, or other support are required.
• Document test findings in detail, including clear descriptive written content.
• Understand and anticipate the needs of the users with regards to the web applications.
Requirements
Education & Licensing
• Preferred Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Project Management, Business Administration, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Network Security or a related field of study
• Preferred some education and/or experience of software development
Experience
• Preferred 1+ years of software quality assurance experience
• Preferred 1+ years of programming at any level
Skills & Knowledge
• Knowledge of relational databases and SQL with Microsoft SQL Server preferred
• Strong aptitude for technology
• Can confidently establish priorities based on workload, focusing on attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to develop and foster relationships with employees and clients at all levels of the organization
