Salary : Job Description
An Email Administrator is responsible for managing and maintaining the organization's email
systems. They ensure the reliability, security, and performance of email services. The Email
Administrator handles email server configurations, monitors email traffic, resolves issues, and
implements email policies and security measures.
Required Certification
Microsoft 365 Certified : Messaging Administrator Associate Certification
Years of Experience
At least four (4) years of experience administering Microsoft Exchange, Intune, and
domain administration functions.
Required Skills
Email Systems Management : Expertise in managing email servers (e.g., Exchange,
Office 365).
Security : Knowledge of email security protocols and best practices.
Troubleshooting : Strong problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve email-related
issues.
Backup and Recovery : Experience with email backup and recovery solutions.
Spam and Virus Protection : Familiarity with spam filtering and antivirus solutions for
email systems.
Scripting and Automation : Skills in scripting (e.g., PowerShell) to automate tasks.
User Support : Ability to provide support to end-users for email-related issues.
Documentation : Ability to create and maintain detailed documentation for email
systems.
Communication : Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective
collaboration and reporting.
Project Management : Ability to manage email-related projects and coordinate with IT
teams.
Functional Responsibilities
This function shall be physically manned at the DCF location during normal business hours from6 : 00am-2 : 30pm and optionally at WCF but the person or persons assigned must provide
administrative support for both locations.
The COR / Alternate COR is authorized to change times on 30-minute increments only, and theCOR / Alternate COR shall authorize or approve changes in writing only.
The person or persons filling this position can be dual hatted as Systems Engineer when not
performing messaging administrator functions.
