If this describes you Ra Coffee Company in Goose is the place for you. We are looking for an additional barista/cashier to join our strong team as we are growing. Ra Coffee Company is a family-owned business started right here in Goose Creek in 2018, as a result of a 20-year dream by the founder, Christa Guzman. Ra Coffee has expanded to 6 locations including 3 on Joint Base Charleston and 2 locations recently opened in Jacksonville Florida on the Naval Air Base.
We are hiring all shifts, part time with ability for full time if wanted. Opening shifts earliest start time is 5am and closing shifts end 7:30pm. Our main location is located at 110 S Goose Creek Blvd in Goose Creek, SC. Hours of operation for this location are 5:00 am to 7:00 pm Monday-Friday and 6:00 am to 7:00 pm on Saturdays (usually out by 7:30pm everyday). None of our locations are open on Sunday's. Our Fletcher St location in Goose Creek is open 6:00 am to 7:00 pm Monday - Saturday. Our Navy Base Medical Center in Goose Creek is open Monday - Friday 6:30 am to 3:00 pm. Our Airforce Base location is open 6:30-3pm Monday thru Friday and 6:30 am to 1pm on Saturdays. We do require availability on Friday and Saturdays as these are our busiest days. Flexibility to work in various shops is a plus.
Responsibilities- but not limited to:
- Prepare and serve specialty coffee or other beverages to customers. Serve food such as baked goods and sandwiches (sometimes preparing and serving sandwiches)
- Maintain a clean and tidy work area
- Follow health and safety guidelines
- Interact with customers regularly and professionally
- Clean / sanitize service and dining areas.
- Check temperatures of freezers and refrigerators, to ensure properly functioning
- Describe menu items to customers or suggest products that might appeal to them
- Receive and stock supplies
- Provide customers with product details
- Receive and process customer payments
Qualifications:
- No experience as a barista is necessary
- Outgoing and great customer service
- Ability to get your food handlers certificate within 30 days (we cover the fee)
- Math skills - basic math
- Ability to count / balance and handle money in the register
- High integrity with a great attendance record
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to listen and communicate effectively with customers, co-workers and management
- Ability to multitask and work well in busy work environment.
- Ability to work alone at some points in your shift
- Ability to follow policies and procedures
- pass a back ground check for base access for locations contracted with the military.
