Job Title: Network Engineer
Location: Raleigh, NC (Hybrid)

Job Type: W2 Contract Only
Job Summary: The Network Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our network infrastructure. This role requires a deep understanding of network protocols, security, and performance optimization. The ideal candidate will have experience with both hardware and software network components and a proven track record of managing complex network environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, deploy, and manage network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal operation.
- Implement and maintain network security measures to protect against unauthorized access and cyber threats.
- Collaborate with IT and other departments to support network requirements for various projects.
- Perform regular network maintenance and upgrades to ensure system reliability and performance.
- Document network configurations, changes, and procedures for future reference.
- Provide technical support and training to staff as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 11 years of experience in network engineering or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF) and network security practices.
- Experience with network hardware (e.g., Cisco, Juniper) and software (e.g., network monitoring tools).
- CCNP or equivalent experience with Cisco switches, routers, ZTNA/NAC, Palo Alto Firewalls, Panorama.
- Deep understanding and experience with cloud networking in AWS/Azure like VPC, Route 53, Security groups, Load balancing, Remote connectivity, Direct-Connect, ExpressRoute.
- Proficient in networking hardware, routers, switches, firewalls, and scripting for system performance monitoring.
- Experience with Meraki switches and managing firewall policies and rules.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP) are a plus.
