What You’ll do:
- Residential Installs.
- Trouble Ticket resolution.
- Truck rolls to troubleshoot on-site connectivity for phone, internet, and video services.
- Installation and Troubleshooting of internet connectivity, telecom, and video.
- Respond to support issues with truck rolls and telephone support.
- Utilization of CRM for support tickets.
- Ask questions to determine nature of problem and be able to walk customer through problem solving process.
- Resolve technical problems with Local Area Networks (LAN), Wide Area Networks (WAN), Internet Connectivity, Telecom, and Video.
- Low voltage/fiber Infrastructure wiring and troubleshooting.
- Receive communication of locations and duties from dispatch software and/or personnel.
- Remote hands for customer support technicians and engineers.
- Work order completion.
- Vehicle / Equipment: Pre-Op / Post-Op.
- Drop/Redrop to client premises.
- Other Duties Required or Assigned by Management.
- Maintain a clean driving record as defined by the current fleet insurance underwriter.
- Through the use of Race vehicle maintains proper equipment in order to be prepared to perform required duties. Drives company vehicle in performance of duties in a safe and responsible manner with appropriate CA licensing requirements while working and traveling in inclement weather.
- Traveling to other service locations throughout CA and beyond.
What You’ll Bring:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Understanding of Fiber Optic Networks, Basic Telecom, and Video.
- Operate a laptop with Windows OS and MS Office programs.
- Basic knowledge of windows software and management.
- Basic knowledge of Apple IPAD.
- Fluent English required.
- Ability to manage difficult or emotional customer situations; responds promptly to customer needs in a customer focused manner.
- Excellent Communication skills - written and spoken.
- High degree of initiative and independence.
- Operate construction equipment and machinery.
- Pole and Ladder climbing.
- Ability to distinguish colors and audible tones
- Ability to lift and move up to 50lbs
- Overtime, nights, and weekends may be required
- Must have a valid California Driver’s License and clean DMV record
- Maintain clean driver's license record
- Driver has been licensed for more than 3 years
Work Environment:
- Daily driving is expected.
- Field Techs spend time in a vehicle, outside or inside Race clients’ businesses or residents.
Physical Demands:
The employee must lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The employee is required to drive a vehicle.
