Floral Event Designer & Account Manager
Rachel Cho Floral Design – Long Island City, NY
Seeking Floral Event Designer & Account Manager for a fast-paced, high-end floral design company. Must be motivated self-starter who takes initiative and manages work independently in a highly responsive manner with a positive attitude.
In this role, you will work with clients to design events and installations and be responsible for bringing their vision to life. This role is ideal for someone who has been a floral designer and has graphic design and client facing experience.
The following is a general list of tasks that this role would be responsible for, but may not encompass all responsibilities:
- Lead client consultations and provide timely proposal and design board development and correspondence during sales process with client and vendors; responsible for follow-up client communication
- Conceptualize and execute high end event design projects through the use of colors, floral and textural materials and vessels, while meeting established criteria for brand aesthetic and cost of goods
- Work with client accounts such as hotels, restaurants, and venues to provide high end service to both their needs and the needs of their customers.
- Lead and participate in the execution and setup of installations and events
- Create floral recipes based on the aesthetic of the project
- Coordinate logistics with venue and other vendors
Desired Skills and Expertise
- 5 years as a floral designer in a high-end design setting
- 5 years as a floral event designer working directly with clients using software to develop events
- Ability to be both creative and analytical. Must be able to use spreadsheets and think critically.
- Ability to multitask and willingness to wear many hats.
- Strong communication skills
- Strong leadership skills
