Rachel Contracting is seeking qualified applicants for a Construction Technology Coordinator position. Rachel Contracting is a specialty site-work contractor performing earthwork, demolition, and utilities primarily in the Midwest/Central US region. Responsibilities And Tasks
- Emphasize safety as Rachel’s number one value.
- Train, educate, and assist field personnel with the use and operation of GPS and positioning equipment.
- Verify site set-ups, calibrations, and machine measurements for accuracy.
- Assists in the setup and maintenance of all survey equipment including robotic total stations, GPS Rovers, and GPS guided machinery.
- Perform site calibrations, pre-surveys, progress surveys, aerial topographical surveys, and as-builts, as necessary.
- Perform site staking and layout, as necessary.
- Prepares and produces 3-D models to review site conditions, compare topographical surveys, and use in heavy equipment for guidance.
Position Qualification Preferences:
- 2 years of experience related to heavy civil construction.
- Strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret civil and architectural plans and specifications.
- Ability to apply mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, & averages to practical situations.
- Proficient computer skills with Microsoft Windows, Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Preferred computer skills with Trimble Construction products including Trimble Business Center, Trimble Site Works, Trimble Earthworks.
- Preferred certificates for HAZWOPER, OSHA 10, Remote Pilot Part 107.
- Moderate physical demands, seldom lifts and/or moves up to 50-70 pounds. Often required to sit, stand, walk, bend knees, stretch arms, stoop, and kneel. Often required to walk a significant part of the day on uneven ground, hills, and wet jobsites.
- Light travel, occasional 1-to-3-night visits to Rachel projects.
