Rachel Contracting is seeking qualified applicants for Earthwork Foreman position. The position is available locally and throughout the Midwest. Rachel Contracting is a specialty site-work contractor performing earthwork, demolition, and utilities primarily in the Midwest/Central US region. Responsibilities and Tasks:
- Performing site grading for commercial, industrial, development, wind and road construction projects which includes road improvements, drainage improvements, road maintenance, dewatering, soil correction, foundation excavation and backfill, utilities and any other necessary civil improvements required for a project.
- Operates equipment such as: blade, dozer, excavator, water truck, off-road trucks, and skid steer.
- Communicate with subcontractors in planning and executing work procedures, interpreting specifications, and coordinating various phases of construction to prevent delays and assure on-time delivery.
- Inspects work in progress to ensure that workmanship conforms to specifications and the adherence to construction schedules by way of daily communication with the Project Manager and General Superintendent.
- Manage a workforce size of approximately 5 to 15 workers (operators and laborers).
- Assist Project Manager with expediting materials procurement, schedule and project documentation.
- Assure all personnel on the project site are familiar with and adhere to the project safety regulations.
- Travel may be required depending on the area of work for this position.

- Previous supervisory level and civil construction experience.
