Description
Install, maintain, repair, troubleshoot and evaluate heating, ventilating, air conditioning and refrigeration equipment, as well as related equipment : i.e. unit ventilators, air handlers, furnaces, steam traps, exhaust equipment. Install and rebuild compressors, various pumps. Install, repair, calibrate and setup pneumatic and electronic climate control systems.
Troubleshoot and repair all phases of boiler operations including but not limited to controls, gas and safety valves, brickwork, piping, and combustion analysis.
Assume other duties as directed by HVAC Foreman or Maintenance Director.
Operate and maintain District Buildings.
Qualifications
REQUIRED
Journeyman and / or Associate Degree with at least 5 years experience
Valid WI drivers license and State Certified Refrigerant handlers License.
Minimum of 5 years full time experience in HVAC service, pipefitters and / or refrigeration service trade.
Ability to learn and perform assignments.
Ability to display necessary initiative and dependability to work alone or in groups.
Must have excellent attendance.
Good physical condition, ability to lift 75 pounds unassisted and 100 pounds occasionally, push, pull on repetitive basis, work in adverse weather conditions. Wear respirator and pass annual respirator physical exam
DESIRABLE
Experience with Steam or Hot Water Commercial Boilers
Experience with DDC controls
Ability to operate and understand BAS systems
5 years full time experience as a journeyman Pipe Fitter in a commercial, industrial / institutional setting
