POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Racing Louisville Youth Academy is dedicated to developing elite female soccer players ages 11-19. We provide a player-centered learning environment that fosters passion, competitiveness, and comprehensive development, empowering athletes to reach their full potential.
The Racing Academy is currently seeking a dynamic, experienced leader for the Racing Academy Director role. This key position will oversee player development, coaching, and team management and report to the Academy Executive Director.
This is a full-time, in-person, salaried position that requires working evenings, weekends, and occasional holidays based on team schedules and program needs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Communication & Relationship Management
- Ensure consistent communication of Racing Louisville’s playing style, systems, and philosophy across all age groups.
- Address inquiries and concerns from membership managers, players, and staff.
- Meet with parents and players in a professional and timely manner.
Curriculum & Program Development
- Collaborate with the Academy Executive Director to design and implement a player development curriculum.
- Develop additional programming, including College ID programs, classroom (video) sessions, parent education, technical training, and off-season programs.
Coaching & Staff Management
- Serve as head coach for two teams within the youth academy.
- Assist in hiring and placement of coaches along with the Academy Executive Director.
Player Development & Administration
- Oversee player tryout and registration processes.
- Support team rostering for all age groups.
- Organize and manage evaluation and feedback processes, including match reports, Individual Development Plans, and performance reviews.
- Work with the Academy Operations Director on scheduling, competition logistics, and team registration.
League & Partner Relations
- Maintain a professional relationship with ECNL to ensure compliance.
- Collaborate with Affiliate Partners to foster development and growth.
Organizational Values & Other Duties
- Uphold and promote the PITCH model across the organization.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum USSF ‘B’ License required.
- At least 3 years of coaching and/or playing experience at the youth level.
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant sports discipline required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Experience working with youth soccer teams, technical clinics, or camps required.
- Strong coaching knowledge across various levels.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Exceptional organizational skills, reliability, and punctuality.
- Positive, energetic, and professional demeanor when interacting with staff, players, and families.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekdays, nights, and weekends.
- Must successfully pass a pre-employment comprehensive background check.
- Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Must be able to walk significant distances, including up and down stairs, and stand, sit, walk, bend, kneel, climb, grasp, stretch, stoop, and reach above head in conjunction with tasks.
Ability and willingness to work in all types of adverse weather conditions (i.e., heat, rain, cold, snow, wind).
