Role Description This is a full-time on-site role for an Electrical Estimator at Rack Electric. The Electrical Estimator will be responsible for estimating electrical projects, controlling costs, managing electrical contracts, and ensuring the successful completion of electrical engineering tasks Qualifications Electrical Estimating and Cost Control skills

The Position Electrification design, proposals and providing solutions that meet customer needs related to Residential EV Charging Stations, whole house re-wire, lighting and general electrical work.
- Attend pre-bid site walks, documenting site conditions for use in developing the scope of work and accurate cost estimates
- Prepare a detailed listing of materials and equipment to complete proposals
- Interacting with customers both on-site, over the phone and through email to facilitate the sale of each project ensuring a positive customer experience.
- Ensure timely completion of cost estimates and meeting deadlines
- Project and customer follow-up from the initial point of contact through final inspection.
- Acting as a liaison between the customer, office, field personnel, and management.
Key Success Factors/Qualification
- Pre-existing EVSE electrical estimating and knowledge is preferred but not required for the right individual.
- Pre-existing electrical knowledge is required.
- High level knowledge of the NEC and electrical systems
- Must possess a strong work ethic, organizational and communication skills both written and verbal
- Ability to multitask and appropriately prioritize projects and goals to increase throughput
- Collaborative, professional approach to building positive relationships with our current team and clients.
- Proficient use of computers and the ability to adapt in a fast pace environment.
- Ability to travel as needed.
Pay Range : $65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
Key Skills:
- Strong knowledge of construction processes and materials.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Accubid, and Blue Beam Software
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
- Journeyman License a Plus.
- Previous experience in estimating or construction management (typically 5 years).
- Familiarity with local construction codes and standards.
Work Schedule:
- Monday – Friday
- Mon – Thurs Hours 7 am – 5 pm
- Fri 7 am – 4 pm
- Must be able to work the schedule listed above.
Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
