Generator Service Manager

Position Overview:
The Generator Service Manager is responsible for overseeing the generator service department, managing technicians, coordinating service schedules, ensuring quality control, and maintaining strong customer relationships. This role requires a proactive leader with technical expertise in generator systems and a strong ability to manage operations efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of generator service technicians, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
- Oversee the scheduling and dispatching of service calls to ensure timely and efficient service delivery.
- Ensure all maintenance and repair work on generators meets company standards and regulatory requirements.
- Develop and implement service department policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Maintain strong relationships with customers, addressing inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
- Monitor inventory levels and order necessary parts and equipment for repairs and maintenance.
- Assist in diagnosing and troubleshooting generator system issues as needed.
- Collaborate with other departments, including sales and installation, to ensure seamless service operations.
- Track and report on service department performance, identifying areas for improvement.
- Stay updated on industry trends, technology advancements, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- 5 years of experience in generator service, repair, or related electrical field.
- 2 years of leadership or management experience in a service-related industry.
- Strong customer interaction (residential a must)
- Strong technical knowledge of generator systems (residential and commercial).
- Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
- Ability to manage multiple service calls and technician schedules efficiently.
- Familiarity with Service Titan or similar service management software is a plus.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Must be able to work in various weather conditions and lift heavy equipment as needed.
