About the Role
Rack Room Shoes is seeking a talented Store Sales Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our sales floor, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and driving sales growth through effective merchandising and promotion of our products.
The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, sales associates, and management. You will also have a passion for learning and staying up-to-date on current sales promotions, product knowledge, and store operations.
In this role, you will:
- Provide excellent customer service, creating a positive shopping experience for our customers.
- Maintain awareness of all current sales promotions and communicate them effectively to customers.
- Develop and maintain necessary product knowledge and fitting skills to effectively promote our products.
- Participate in physical inventories, assist in shipping and receiving merchandise, and participate in merchandise placement on the sales floor when needed.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Interpersonal skills necessary to deal effectively with external contacts (primarily customers) and with all levels of employees.
- Basic communication (both verbal and non-verbal), organization, and math skills.
- Experience in retail sales, preferably specialty retail or footwear.
- Basic knowledge of the policies and procedures.
- Basic visual merchandising skills and an understanding of the Store Presentation Standards.
