You will be responsible for meeting sales and work goals as directed by members of store management while maintaining the Policies and Procedures set by the Company. To excel in this role, you should be able to lead other team members by being an example in the accuracy and completeness of your work. We strive to present the store, its merchandise, and ourselves to the customer in the best possible light.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Create an Excellent Customer Experience: Be aware of and adhere to company service standards, demonstrating a positive attitude, willingness to serve, and being well-informed to provide excellent sales and assistance to customers.
- Maintain Awareness of Promotions: Stay up-to-date on all current sales promotions and communicate them effectively to customers.
- Merchandise Presentation: Ensure stock is well-arranged and merchandised properly, maintain cleanliness and organization of all areas within the store, and develop product knowledge and fitting skills.
- Loss Prevention: Maintain awareness of Loss Prevention concerns involving customers and staff members.
- Cashier Functions: Process all sales and POS terminal transactions in accordance with policy and procedure.
Working Relationships: Customers, Sales Associates, Store Management, and District/Regional Managers
Key Qualifications:
- Interpersonal Skills: Effective communication and interpersonal skills necessary to deal with external contacts (customers) and all levels of employees.
- Communication Skills: Basic communication (verbal and non-verbal), organization, and math skills.
- Experience: Experience in retail sales, preferably specialty retail or footwear.
- Policies and Procedures: Basic knowledge of the policies and procedures.
- Visual Merchandising: Basic visual merchandising skills and understanding of Store Presentation Standards.
