Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled independent contractor to install overhead garage storage racks in Salt Lake County. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. As an independent contractor, you will have the flexibility to manage your own schedule and work independently.
Responsibilities:
* Install overhead garage storage racks according to company specifications and manufacturer instructions.
* Ensure accurate measurements and proper installation techniques.
* Maintain a clean and organized work area.
* Provide excellent customer service and address any customer questions or concerns professionally.
* Communicate effectively with the company regarding scheduling, job updates, and any potential issues.
* Maintain and transport your own tools and equipment.
* Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
* Manage your own time and schedule to meet agreed-upon deadlines.
* Maintain proper documentation, as required, for completed installations.
Qualifications:
* Proven experience in construction, carpentry, or a related field preferred. Experience with overhead storage rack installation is a plus.
* Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to read and interpret installation instructions.
* Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
* Strong customer service skills and a professional demeanor.
* Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
* Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
* Must have your own tools and equipment necessary for installation (e.g., drills, saws, measuring tools, etc.).
* Ability to lift and carry heavy objects.
As an independent contractor, candidate must provide and keep current, the following documentation along with a signed copy a work agreement
1. Workers Compensation Insurance or a waiver from the Workers Compensation Department
2. Indemnification, hold, harmless and insurance agreement.
3. Commercial General Liability insurance minimum of $1,000,000 with the Client named as additional insured
4. City Business License
5. Contractor Licenses as defined by the state to be required for the Work being performed. Handyman Exemption Registration or General Contractor B100
6. W-9 form
