What are the responsibilities and job description for the CTE : Agriculture Education / Small Engine Repair Teacher position at Radford City School District?

POSITION TITLE : CTE : Agriculture Education Teacher for the 2025-2026 school year.
FLSA : Exempt
QUALIFICATIONS : Must hold proper state certification
REPORTS TO : Principal and / or other Supervisor
NATURE OF WORK : Provides services to assist students in achieving a better understanding of specific subject material and in improving academic capabilities in designated areas. Collaborates with the school principal and staff members to assess students' needs and how best to address them.
MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE : Required to hold or be able to hold certification in Agricultural Education or Small Engine Repair (Preferred)
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS :
- Participate in curriculum review and design.
- Implement a variety of effective instructional strategies consistent with lesson objectives.
- Diagnose and evaluate student abilities and progress in a timely and consistent manner.
- Monitor student progress and adjust instruction accordingly.
- Plan a program of study that meets the individual needs, interests, and abilities of the students.
- Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning.
- Assess the accomplishments of students on a regular basis and provide progress reports as required.
- Refer students for alternative services as provided by the District (ESL, Reading, Special Reading).
- Effectively implement district initiatives.
- Effectively collaborate with department and grade level teachers.
