Job Description
This position is responsible for the development, construction, monitoring, and proper functionality of Radford University's Computerized Building Automation systems. The successful candidate will act as data custodian and system administrator for Johnson Controls ADX, Automated Logic Corporation WebCtrl software, and Lutron Lighting.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot various controls within a large campus network.
- Develop and implement effective building automation strategies to optimize energy efficiency and operational performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of building systems and technologies.
- Provide technical support and guidance to end-users, ensuring timely resolution of issues and optimal system performance.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, computer science) or equivalent experience.
- Considerable knowledge of principles and practices of mechanical engineering, including HVAC systems, electrical, pneumatic, and digital controls.
- Extensive experience in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting controls within a large campus network.
- Knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems, as well as programming languages used for controls of HVAC equipment.
