Job Summary
This position will provide technological support for the IMPACT competency based education ( CBE ) program providing design, implementation, integration, application administration and support for a variety of technologies and systems; serve as the primary application administrator for the IMPACT learning management systems and cybersecurity virtualization platforms; diagnose and resolve complex technical issues for IMPACT team members and learners. The position will physically be located within the IMPACT Lab located at 6226 University Park Drive, Radford, VA 24141.
Required Qualifications
Ability to work in a dynamic fast paced environment and acquire new technical skills as needed. Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to not technical users. Experience configuring technology to support users in an enterprise environment. Ability to analyze system options, end user needs and program needs and configure system settings to support those needs. Experience providing end user support for Windows and or Macintosh computers. Experience with iOS and Android mobile devices. Thorough understanding of database concepts, database structures, dashboards and reporting. Ability to diagnose complex technical issues and coordinate the response to those issues.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with the Desire2Learn learning management system. Experience with virtualization platforms such as VMWare, Citrix or HyperV. Experience writing SQL queries and using Oracle databases. Experience using data visualization tools for analytics and reporting. Experience with system integrations.
