Job Summary
Radford University invites applications for a Full Time Special Purpose 9-month faculty position in the School of Nursing at the Radford Higher Education Center location. Teaching responsibilities include in-person lecture, skill laboratory instruction, and clinical teaching in acute care settings for undergraduate students. Preference will be given to those applicants with prior in-person teaching experience and those with recent clinical experience.
Radford University is a student-focused institution offering 76 bachelor’s degree programs in 47 disciplines, two associate degrees, and six certificates at the undergraduate level; 28 master’s programs in 23 disciplines and six doctoral programs at the graduate level; and 17 post-baccalaureate certificates and one post-master’s certificate preparing approximately 7,500 students to become successful and productive leaders in the community. The main Radford University campus is nestled in the New River Valley in the Blue Ridge Mountains, 40 miles from Roanoke. Radford University Carilion is located in Roanoke, VA, the Star City.

Applicants must have a Master of Science in Nursing ( MSN ), an unencumbered Virginia RN license, and at least five years of acute care clinical experience.

Prior teaching experience in the classroom and clinical practice setting
Current clinical practice
A doctorate in Nursing or a related discipline is preferred ( DNP , PhD, or EdD)
