Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Medical/Surgical team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for patient care and a strong background in medical-surgical nursing.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a medical/surgical setting
- Administer medications and treatments according to established standards
- Perform phlebotomy procedures as needed
- Utilize aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety during procedures
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical documentation
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to create individualized patient care plans
- Monitor and assess patients' conditions, communicating changes to the healthcare team
- Assist with minor surgical procedures in an ambulatory surgery center setting
Qualifications
- Valid RN license in the state of practice
- Knowledge of anatomy, medical records, and medication administration
- Experience in ambulatory surgery center or behavioral health settings is a plus
- Familiarity with dermal fillers is advantageous
- Proficiency in utilizing electronic medical records systems
- Strong understanding of aseptic technique and infection control practices.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (30%)* Regularly assesses patient's/client's needs and provides skilled nursing services as prescribed by the physician-authorized plan of care, and accepted standards of nursing practice. (30%)* Provides direct resident care, including medication administration, treatments, call lights, assisting with transfers, responding to alarms, etc. (20%)* Evaluates the effectiveness of the treatment plan and makes suggestions or participates in updating/revising the treatment plan in collaboration with other team members, utilizing current information to improve patient care. (10%)* Processes physician/provider orders and performs physician-ordered care accurately, completely, and in a timely manner. (10%)* Follows up regarding medication changes and order clarifications.
